A 3D scan file is sliced into ¼ mm layers in the software to create a blueprint for 3D printing. Once this is done, the 3D printer begins laying down layers of material that follow the slice outlines. Meanwhile, a laser solidifies the material. This process is repeated for each layer until a copy of the original piece is produced in a range of materials that cater to your individual requirements and budget.
